Rtx 2070 TERRIBLY Underperforming! plz help..

I recently bought a Gigabyte RTX  2070. (Not OC). upgrading from a gtx 1060 6gb. when I first started my pc up after installing the gpu, I went and got the drivers installed for it, loaded up Fortnite... And it was horrible.. I got around 60fps on Lowest settings. The benchmarks for the rtx 2070 is around 240fps on lowest settings. i then thought it maybe was a driver issue, so I got a clean install of windows 10, installed all my apps again (Including geforce drivers), loaded up fortnite once again AND... No difference. i have now tried overclocking my system, adding more ram and installing different drivers, and for the love of god i cannot find out what's wrong. can someone please help me, with this issue. i have overceeded the last renurndate.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

This is your problem. Possibly.

In addition what is the CPU usage and res?

Ok then its not a major CPU bottleneck. The RAM is definitely limiting performance but it should be around 144+. Can you send a pic of your in game settings in fortnite?

What are the actual clockspeeds of your card live. Not the ones written on the box

OK take off DX 12 and put the textures to high, motion blur off and restart the game.

It is 100% a ram problem, Is nearly maxed out and running in single channel mode.

Also it shows you running at 130 fps

i was running 104 fps, while looking into a hill, when i'm in action it can barely reach 60 at times.  But sure, i'll upgrade my ram:). But I didn'r have this problem on my gtx 1060, while running 144fps in fortnite, on same settings..

don't use taskmanager to monitor, it gets GPU usage laughably wrong usually.

Use MSI Afterburner (OSD)

Also that 1 stick of RAM is probably holding you back. Ryzen needs 8GB DDR4 RAM minimum 3000mhz in *dual channel* meaning two sticks.

I still think this performance is weirdly low, but maybe dual RAM configuration fixes it (no idea how big the impact actually is, I always had dual channel RAM)

Thanks so much. i do use msi afterburner to monitor both speed and temp:))
