Please suggest me a motherboard for i9 10850K

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

At around the same price as the Z490-H you should be able to get a Z490 Gaming Edge WIFI, Z490 Vision G, Z490 Tomahawk or Z490 Aorus Elite. Maybe even slightly cheaper.

But to answer your question, no I don't think the Strix Z490-A is worth $50 more over the H. That being said, if you liked the white theme of the board, the Prime Z490-A is pretty much the same as the Strix, save for BIOS Flashback I think.

Hi,

I look into Asus and I see Z490-H and z490-A Strix have a 50$ difference where I live, any reasons why to pick the z490-A instead of the Z490-H ?

I see they both have 12+2 power phase stages, seems to be the same all around...

Or any other good suggestions ? I don't need specific features, wifi is optional not really a need...

Please don't tell me to buy a ryzen, the 10850k is cheaper than a 3900x where I live right now and I only do gaming on the PC.

Thanks !

alright boys, put the pitchforks away for now.... :P

the strix boards are fine, for the A youre mostly just paying for the colors. if you prefer asus features over other boards theyre not a bad choice. other manufacturer's boards in that price range generally bring more features/performance for cheaper but its likely not a big deal to most people in comparison to asus aesthetics/bios/rgb.
