Hello Everyone,

I'm in the process of building a new PC for Cyberpunk 2077 and various games in the future and was planning on getting the new RTX 3080 (Thank God I waited for the announcement). I also came across the I9 10900k and became worried that it would be better than the I9 9900k. That alone, I got worried that my components wouldn't be right for my build. I have them still in the box and been grinding my ass to get the last one (a few extra parts as well, but not as expensive). If anyone can help me with my "UPCOMING BUILD" that would be amazing.

for games there should be no difference, chances are you should be able to get a decent oc and get within 1 or 2 percent in gaming performance. the nzxt doesnt have great airflow iirc but could be worse. also unless you specifically prefer the corsairs theyre very overpriced, you can get 32gb 3600c16 of trident z rgb for cheaper than that. how much did you spend on the 9900k + z390?

topics i need help on:

A 10700K is basically a new 9900K, while the 10900K is like a 10700K with two extra cores.

For gaming, I think a 10700K (or maybe even 10600K) makes the most sense in my opinion.

Something like this for example:

I kept the cooler, HDD, case and PSU the same.

CPU: the 10700K is a new 9900K. No reason to get a 10900K for gaming

Motherboard: one that fits with a 10700K :P

Memory: 2x16GB so you have room to upgrade

Storage (SSD): nice faster larger SSD

The I9 was $548.74, and the motherboard was around $300.

my dude you got fucked lmao, holy shit. i got my 9900k and z390 maximus hero for 550 total, brand new and like new condition on /r/hardwareswap. and the x72 being the previous gen of kraken 360mm should have been well under 150...

i mean for that price you could get a 10900k and a z490 strix with a properly priced kraken

I think that you'd want to look for a Samsung brand NVME if you are looking for something reliable like the Samsung 970 EVO Plus, since Silicon power isn't exactly the greatest storage manufacturer.

I did get the mobo and AIO early January. I knew of should've waited for the price to drop on the I9, but of course, I couldn't be patient (lesson taught right there).
