I'm thinking of buying an Eaton 5E 850VA USB DIN for my PC+monitor. Total power draw of the setup is 100W when doing regular work, during gaming it's 200W, so this UPS should be enough to safely turn off the computer and even use it for 10-20 minutes (as stated back up time by the manufacturer for 100W is 20 minutes)

Anyway, the question is, how long does the battery inside last? I'm getting 1-2 power outages a year tops, so the battery won't be discharged very often. So, after how many years will it go so bad that I'll have to buy a new battery and change it?

What power-factor?

It's rather difficult to say anything definite, but with only a couple of power-outages a year, it would possibly last for 5 years or more. Modern UPSes do perform automatic checks, though, and should be able to inform you of the battery's wear.

Unfortunately my "Kill-a-watt" doesn't show the power factor. The PSU is a BE QUIET Pure Power 9 500W CM 80+ SILVER MODULAR (BN267), and the documentation doesn't show a power factor either.

After looking it up, a replacement battery costs around $30 and takes 5 minutes to replace. $30 for 5 year sounds great.

Yup, they're not particularly expensive and can be bought in any reasonable hardware-store. Doesn't really matter much, if it went bad even as often as every two years, given how cheap the generic replacement-batteries are nowadays.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to buy one on eBay, just for simply having one around, should you need one. I have this one, which was also recently torn down by Big Clive (a rather well-known, professional electrician on Youtube) who found it to be quite excellent.

My bad, I have this exact one and now looking through the readouts yes, there is a power factor. It is 0.93 for the PC (90W) and 0.55 for the monitor (10W).

That'd be about ~115VA.
