Seriously? Haven't people been through enough of these questions. Here is some advice

 

1. Do your homework and ask specific questions about certain cards that you are interested in.

Hold on, this is an actual good question. For people who aren't majorly into technology this can be confusing.

 

 

Dytoxia neither is necessarily better, both do well in different games, and some do better in certain price brackets, depending where in the world you live. They both have compelling options depending on the games you play, and the area that you live.

Even if he is trolling, lets not jump on him like that. For beginners in technology the whole AMD vs Nvidia thing can legitimately be confusing.

i understand that but it should be pretty obvious that if theres 2 groups making the same kind of products with fan bases that asking a questions like x v y is just going to start something up

It really isnt that obvious for those who arent very very into technology. It is surprisingly hard to realize that it isnt a black and white "better" "worse" since things like that exist in a lot of markets. Instead of always replying with "against CoC" maybe explain it anyways? Even if he is trolling, someone who isnt trolling and actually doesnt know could read it, and it could be an actual help.

It really isnt that obvious for those who arent very very into technology. It is surprisingly hard to realize that it isnt a black and white "better" "worse" since things like that exist in a lot of markets. They each have a variety of products that do things differently. This is like asking whether America or Canada is better.

This question doesn't really have a right answer.  In my opinion there is no "better" it depends on what you want and your price range.

 

If you're a big fan of games like battlefield, tomb raider, saints row, etc. then amd is probably a good choice for you.  You'll get things like mantle and all sorts of tressfx things in newer games that you're interested in.  

AMD has some pretty solid budget cards and for a long time was the "working mans gaming hardware."  However when you really compare the best of AMD/ATI's single-core cards (this leaves out the 7990) with the best of NVIDIA's cards the contest is quite lopsided towards NVIDIA.

 

If you are more of a neutral gamer, and want the absolute beefiest and best performance but don't have a preference towards any game, NVIDIA could be for you.  NVIDIA also has benefits, like AMD's cards, such as GSync and Shadowplay.  

 

In my opnion, today right here and now NVIDIA is the only card I would ever consider buying.  If you're on a budget, AMD's new lineup is no longer a viable option because you can get better performance from the 750ti for less money and power consumption.

If you're looking for great performance, the 780ti is the fasted card on the planet.  And honestly, AMD's cards aren't worth the money right now.  You get much less than you pay for.

 

Luckily I got my 270x when it came out.  If Radeon cards return to normal prices, then the comparison between the two will be apples and oranges.

 

Each company has great features and solid hardware but circumstances favor NVIDIA right now.

Companies can have slumps, and a couple generations of bad products in a row, random consumers who arent that into technology may not know whether either nvidia or AMD is in a slump at the time. That is a very VERY real possibility.

Instead of saying amd vs nvidia just do a search on the forum. Watch the reviews on Linustechtips youtube account. You will find most of your information from there. Just a fore warning, try to be as specific as you can when asking on the forum. More details = generally better answers. And welcome to the forum if you are new.
