Can I do it?

So my Storm Enforcer is very loud due to what I believe to be the front fan I was wondering whether I could take this out completely without affecting anything airflow wise? or would replacing it with a lower RPM megaflow make it less noisy (apparently the bitfenix 200mm I was going to get has different mounting so I am told)

sadly it will intake fans effect temps allot

if you replace it with another quieter fan it won't make much of a difference.  if you just remove it you'll see the temps climb with extended gaming/high load sessions

 

or you can just slow down the existing fan

Replacing stock fans is always a good idea. You'll be getting just as good performance at much lower volume unless you're replacing with a cheap fan.

The Bitfenix is a good investment.

When you remove an intake, unless most of the other fans are intakes, you might see a temp increase. Which is why I like my Sempron. Only case fan is a somewhat high CFM rear 120mm exhaust.

If you don't want to replace that fan with another, make so other fan to act as intake. Its always better to have intake instead of exhaust.
