iPhones can get viruses. iPhones can get hacked. iPhones can get hacked through Safari.

 

That said, an accidental click on the wrong ad probably didn't install a virus or send private information. If nothing seems amiss then it's likely all is well. If you're really concerned grab something from Avast or similar and run a scan. Just make sure it's from a reputable antivirus company, 99% of app store "antivirus" apps are useless adware that couldn't detect a trojan if it were beating them over the head with a brick.
