Or go for a r5 3600 + B450 board, lose maybe 5% fps at most and save 50% of the money.

If you're playing on a 1440p or higher resolution display, the performance difference between the 3600 and these intel chips will be 0%.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

if you're just gaming, the 10600kf is more than enough and performs similarly as games do not scale up to 8 cores.

though i'd wait for ampere to launch and check the 3070 as that seems promising and look to be quite a bit faster than the 2070 for the same price, though budget for the whole build? and what do you already have?

workload? and location? as i said, wait for ampere to come out and zen 3 if possible and check what it has to offer.

I'll advise also waiting for Ryzen 4000 if you decide to wait for Ampere.
