So I'm putting in a preorder for a corsair hx1200i at the end of the month and I'm wondering when will psu be back in stock like normal. A bunch went on the market then dissapeared so are they just being thrown up in batches at an attempt to help the shortage or what? Is there any news when the market might relax a little? I personally feel that with the rtx3000 cards coming shortly it's just going to make things worse.

I'm not aware of recent news on the whole situation, but demand is clearly still high and it's pretty hard for manufacturers to keep up.

Well I will be upfront in I'm aware it's totally overkill. Some of it is bragging rights. Some of it is because the rest of the planned system is overkill. Some of it is the longevity. Some of it is having the fan off when I do fuck all.

My planned pc build will have a 3090 and a r9 4900(5900?) And a bunch of pcie cards that do various things. Oh and watercooling. Atleast 2 pumps.

I see, fair enough.

Here's what I managed to find on PCPP that should suit your needs and should be in stock, without being horribly overpriced:

I did think about the hx1000i but a part of me is just like fuck it just go for gold. I'm not 100 on it though. It really depends on what happens within the next few weeks.
