So this might be the issue. I didn’t screw any of the standoffs on. I’ll take her back apart and prey this fixes her 😭 If the board did short because of that how badly will that damage the parts ?

Well you'd start by warranty the motherboard.

Okay so took it all apart, put the standoffs in, re-wired it all again and nothing’s changed... got any other ideas?

Nope. I'm 100% certain, the second you plugged in the power, it F'ed the board.

Warranty the board as DOA. Then PRAY nothing else got damaged with it.

Other things you can Try for a post. (I'm certain none of this will work)

  • Clear cmos.
  • Run a single stick of memory in the first slot A1 (after you clear cmos)
  • Try 2 sticks in either Channel A or Channel B (single channel mode, see manual) (again clear cmos)
  • remove all case fans from headers (lighting if any)
  • remove drives (clear cmos)
  • Remove Gpu, memory and Cpu
  • Pray the next one works.
  • Try flashing the bios. Watch this how to video.

If none of that, send the board in for warranty.

Well after staying up all night messing around with everything still no luck. Sending the board in for a replacement threw amazon. Then if this board doesn’t work guess it’s time for a new power supply ?

Not sure. Let's get a board first and see if you can have it post up, or at least give us some beep codes if there are other issues.

Be sure to get a little motherboard speaker.

no, just forget, i didn't see the second page :D

but anyway, don't worry for the psu itself. they are short circuit protected. that's why you just get very briefly light blink and shut down.

that's the short circuit protection doing his perfect job.

Which led is it? Cpu/memory/vga?

I refuse to read threads whose author does not know how to remove the caps lock!

You're still at this point?

Please say you installed the stand-offs into the case...

And yes other parts may have been damaged.

On this note, warranty the whole damn thing. Drives, Power supply, Cpu ... all of it.

You get just the flash ? No LED stays lit?

You did install stand offs?

I would recommend using the MB box as a test bench and building outside the case. I'm not hopeful but it's a free and easy step and makes unplugging and swapping things much easier.

Start from the beginning, take it slow. Especially make sure the CPU is installed correctly with the dots in the corner lining up.

So the standoffs are actually pre-installed, which i didn’t know before I took it apart and screwed stand offs into the stand offs then non of the parts fit. The back metal shield is on the motherboard as well.

Looks like it’s the VGA light, does that mean GPU is shot ? I’ve also noticed it’s not just a red flash, but one quick rainbow flash on boot. Just looks red from how fast it’s moving.

Yes that would mean something is wrong with the gpu or pci-e slot to the gpu.   Check the wiring on it or if you can, test with another gpu (friends or if you have a spare laying around), also try another pci-e slot.

See it helps to read the manual
