I'm wanting to upgrade/add a graphics card, but I've read so much back and forth that I'm a bit confused (I'm so not a computer person) as to which card would be best to maximize the graphics for Photoshop and the newer additional plug-ins ect..which right now it keeps saying my current GPU is not compatible. So since I'm not a computer person and I don't want to bug with too many questions I've attached my system information.

So with that info in hand can someone tell me what is the best graphics card I can get (it would have to be slim and I have the usual slots) and if I do upgrade to the max is a good idea to update the PSU as well?

I'd appreciate any information to help guide me in the right direction..to get the most I can out of what I have without killing it.

Thank you

It's pretty unreadable on a 1440p monitor too 😉

In my experience, replacing the non-standard power supplies on that type of proprietary SFF machine is a colossal pain in the ass, especially for someone who isn't particularly comfortable with PC hardware. Pretty much any modern GPU is gonna be an improvement over the integrated graphics on the i5-2400, so I would recommend something like the ZOTAC GT 710. It's tiny, and only draws 25W of power under full load, so you shouldn't run into any problems with the stock power supply. If that's out of your price range, there are some (much older) used options you can look at, but they're going to result in a smaller performance improvement overall.

probably worse than the integrated graphics, bought one at frys at one point because the integrated graphics on an old phenom 4 mobo bit the dust, the only use for these cards should be for a video output, not any actual work

While that's gonna be true for most modern systems, he's currently running Intel® HD Graphics 2000, on a chip that was launched in early 2011. According to UserBenchmark (the GPU side, of course, that weird Intel fanboy ruined the CPU comparisons), he should see about a +312% boost in overall speed with a gt 710.
