Red devil 5700XT unstable, fluctuations GPU Usage

BollyWood401

In every game the GPU usage fluctuates, it’ll go from 20 to 50 to 30 to 25 back up to 40 continually. Is this okay? Or should the usage be at steady numbers. In the Radeon settings I don’t have anything applied rather then v sync but turning off this setting does nothing to fix it. Game performance isn’t impacted though, and my temps don’t go past 60 on the GPU and about 54 on my CPU. I lock my frame rate at 60 FPS, is this the reason? Games remain at a constant 60 FPS. All power saving options have been turned on and off but no fix there.

BUILD:

Red devil radeon 5700XT

i7 9700k

16gb DDR4

Corsair CX 750 W

Depends which games and what is happening in the game.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Thinking about getting a 2070 super instead :/

Well if a GPU isn't hitting 100%, that means its being bottlenecked by (basically, most likely):

1. CPU - these build frame times, if enough frame time is built it will maximize the GPU.  If not enough frame time is built (measured in Seconds) then it will only work as hard as it needs to, to fill that 1 second with Frames.

2.) Software

Hey thanks for the reply I just posted my set up on the main post under it! I’m not having any FPS stutter, I do lock my games at 60 FPS could this cause this? Games remain at a constant 60 FPS and temps on CPU and GPU don’t go past 60 C

If the FPS is locked to 60, then that explains it.
