hdd 100% usage

hey i have got a issue i get 100% usage on my hdd when have nothing open

That's typically just a sign of an old, slow, and/or dying hard drive. How long have you been using it? It may just be a slower hard drive, in which case you don't need to worry if it still works fine for your needs. Or, it could be that the hard drive is dying of old age and it's just time for an upgrade.

Sounds like your HDD is on it's last legs...they're dirt cheap now if you want to pick up another.

You could start there...personally, I would back it up onto another drive asap.

Ah, that sucks...I would pick one up, you can get a 1TB for $20-$30.

Windows update, file indexing, anti-virus scan can all use the disk, so you must check use by all users(system included) not just yourself.

Ah right it is called resource monitor, but if what you say is true it's not looking good for HDD...
