Pc no turn off

Hi

So today i turned off my pc and it just didnt turn off i had to flick the switch to turn it off, could it be my psu as it turns it self off in games (getting a corsair soon)

well that's awkward, maybe you screwed something up in the bios/uefi so it doesn't properly get the hw shutdown signal from the operating system, I personally never had this issue before tho.

Sounds like the PSU being defective is a safe bet.

Shiz thats what i thought its an ezcool pc might blow up

could very well the psu but, you could try reseting the bios- its easy. Check that all your drivers are updated. My friend had a similar issue and it turns out hi sGPU drivers were causing crashes that froze the computer and it would have to be unplugged to shut off.

You attempted to turn off via the shut down in OS? If its the power button you are talking about you might want to look at the power settings? If you haven't tried the power button then I would try to see if that shuts it down.

Ok the psu is bad though the pc turns of in demanding scenes it could be drivers but i doubt it

Yea if it crashes only under heavy load its almost guaranteed to be psu problem. How many watts is it? / what brand?

So what would u people say it is then psu or software/other
