Do I need 80+ Gold?

efficiency it not quality and it never was, look at the model not the brand or 80+ rating.

80+ ratings are just for efficiency, any rating will work fine with your computer if its a quality PSU. the efficiency really only starts to make a meaningful difference if your running your computer 24/7 or consistently drawing a lot of power. In these cases it can help your PSU stay cool and help your power bill. I got a 80+ platinum PSU for mine because it pulls 530w 24/7 with spikes to 715w in a hot room but this is niche case and even 80+ bronze is fine for most people.
