What to do? Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7200rpm ST_M13FQBL

I bought this Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm as 2nd hand from the public market.. but can this still be fixed on my own? or do I have to return/replace this hard drive?

still appearing after plugging the SATA cable to a different port.. the seller of the drive instructed me to go into the BiOs to enable legacy.. he's not particularly familiar with an AsRock mobo and I'm also currently not sure where to go from the BiOs.. I have an AsRock B450m Steel Legend.. I'm new to this so be patient with me :D its only been 3 weeks since I built this PC

There should be a setting in the bios, under storage or boot options. I don't have that motherboard, I can't guide you further, sorry.

Do you have a spare Sata cable you can test?

Another thing you can try:

Windows key + R -> type in devmgmt.msc and press Enter

Under storage devices, search for the drive you're having problems with, right click and uninstall device and reboot.

If this isn't working, try to initialize the drive in safe mode:
Press the Windows logo key + R.
Type msconfig in the Open box, then click OK.
Select the Startup tab.
Under Startup Options, check the Safe Mode checkbox.

Maybe. Download the standard edition of CrystalDiskInfo and post the results

BTW, how was the packaging for the drive? It might have been damaged during shipping
