Which is better for 1080p 144hz gaming? I am planning on getting the EVGA 2060s or the Gigabyte 2070.

Well both GPUs inside box are made by Nvidia and are GDDR6. EVGA and Gigabyte only make the cooling so for comparing purposes of brands there is really no difference (I have had EVGA and Gigabyte products and they have both worked fine). Although I would go for the GPU that has the 8GB GDDR6 256-bit memory interface (Aka: Gigabyte 2070).

So if both cards are the same price and one of them is 8GB GDDR6, why get the 6GB GDDR6. At the end of the day they will both run fine for what you are looking for.
