Memory timing if frequency is downgraded

I found that in DDR4 rams, most 2666Mhz have 19-19-19-43 timing while 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz have 16-18-18-38.

Since my chipset doesn't support 3200Mhz, memory fallback to 2133Mhz. If you enable XMP profile, it increases frequency to 2666Mhz.

I want to know that, Does a 3200Mhz memory with 16-18-18-38 timing runs at same timing if chipset supports only 2666Mhz speed?

Check for your self, but it should be able to for the most part.

No?

In my observation, generally, as frequency decreases, CL timing also decreases. I actually want to buy a ram that have low CL but my Chipset supports upto 2666Mhz. I suspect CL marked on 3200Mhz rams are for 2133Mhz base speed (without profiling).

we don't know, look at the SPD profiles for the sticks and check.

cas latency doesn't have to do with frequency support.
