Price range? If you want the end all ones (no price limit) , the samsung g7(27'), or g9( ultrawide) odysseys are amazing. If you want IPS, still end-all, and 4k along with a flat screen, look no further than the LG 27GN950. If you want it on the cheap, choose the dell S2719DGF, which is $300. Otherwise, you need to say you budget.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

I would much rather get reviews from HardwareUnboxed. IMO, their reviews are far superior to RTINGS.

Eh, Rtings tests a lot more categories and are generally more thorough. Hardware Unboxed isn't bad either but they left a lot of things untested.

For around $500 I would suggest these three.

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/27gl850-b

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/tuf-vg27aq

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/gigabyte/aorus-fi27q

For around $400 these two are a good picks.

ya for 500usd it's basically down to the 27gl850-b, if you prefer deeper blacks go with the vg27aq but know that's basically the only weakness of the LG.

it's basically a less calibrated version of the FI27Q, i can recommend it, if it was 450usd vs 500usd LG, i'd get the LG, for 400usd, the px7 prime wins out.

So if you were to buy one of those monitors without spending over 550 USD what would you get personally?

it's a wash, if money's tight, the pixio, if it's not, the LG. the main takaway is, you can't go wrong with either of those.

Though i'll say this, people waited years for something with the specs of the LG, but unless you put it side by side.. both those monitors are close enough.
