Dual Channel compatibility for DDR4 RAMs

So I am at a dilemma with buying new RAM kits. I have a Ryzen 5 1400 processor on a Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming 3 motherboard and a G.skill Trident Z RGB 8GB 3000MHz. I bought a new RAM kit the other day, the G.Skill Ripjaws V 8GB 3200MHz and I was wondering if I can create a dual channel by pairing this with my existing RAM by reducing the speed of the Ripjaws. Also, if not, will it damage my PC if the compatibility for dual channel is not right? And lastly, if dual channel is not possible, can I run them on single channel, separate from each other? Will it show 16GB of RAM in my PC?

mix and matching stick isn't guaranteed to work and  could be iffy in things like xmp profiles, but if it did it will be in dual channel, and both will run at 3000.

but if it did or didn't work it wont damage anything.
