I Replaced My Enermax Fan With One From Noctua

probablyLucky

I have an Enermax CPU cooler. The fan (Enermax ED122512H-PD) is quite loud, so I got a new one from Noctua (NF-F12 PWM) and the results are pretty stunning in my opinion:

CPU temperature Enermax fan on average while idling: 31°C; Enermax fan velocity on average while idling: 1,244 RPM

CPU temperature Noctua fan on average while idling: 26°C; Noctua fan velocity on average while idling: 605 RPM
(room temperature: about 23,5°C; measurements taken with HWiNFO)

I did not expect these results, so I had to share them. My PC is (obviously) a lot quieter as well!

I've done similar things like mixing a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO with either 1 or 2 Noctua NF-F12 fans.

The goal not being lower dB but lower the temps as cheapest I can. Works surprisingly well.

+1 to quality fans of all types.

They show you just how bad cheap fans blow lol.

I generally don’t look at anything under 100cfm, but I have a couple that are.
