USB headers on mobo

Hey guys,

 

So I am building a desk pc and long story short I need 2 3.0 internal headers, I have tried looking for adapters for 3.0 headers that go from one to two but I have not found anything, but I have found 2.0 headers to 3.0 headers what are the cons? Will I loose speed and how much?

You have a better chance finding USB 3.0 controller cards, i.e.: https://www.amazon.com/SupaHub-Expansion-Expanding-Internal-Connector/dp/B07R8SLRWS/

Lower speed is the con.

USB 3.0 speed: 5Gb/s / 5000Mb/s*

USB 2.0 speed: 480Mb/s.*

 

*theoretical max, realistic speed is lower.

Unfourtantly it's a bit too pricey I found this on Ali express- https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000621126124.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.17e83c00e1sWIK&mp=1

will the cons remain the same and will it work at all? (im asking if it will work because of it's cheap price, even though that's nice.)

In theory that should work, but I can't vouch for the quality or integrity of this cable.
