Can you SLI? depends

The fingers have to be on the same spot on the PCB to use HB bridges, some cards have wider PCB than others, so do take note of that

though you CAN use flexible bridges and ignore this point

cant help you check because there's no "normal edition" unless u meant stock/reference cooler

 

Should you SLI? maybe? but most probably (like 99%) not

SLI isn't supported in many games

even if they are, you might not gain any performance, and instead deal with stuttering and such

 

it's always recommended to buy the best GPU on the market, before you consider SLI for gaming

 

now if you're doing compute tasks, then dual GPU is fine

im not sure if any compute tasks need the cards to be linked in SLI to scale up though

and scalibility should also be considered (but most compute tasks scale pretty perfectly)

You don't need SLI for folding, but you'd be pretty spot on with guessing that I do far more than game with my mult-GPU setups.
