Budget mechs

Hey guys I was wondering any recommendations you had for cheap mech keyboards like under 50 bucks . Also perhaps Linus could remake this video as there are far more Chinese knock offs for mechs that are seriously better nowadays.

Yeah I can get some aswell but there's so many not just clones at this price range that I don't no which to pick. Like I can get a genuine kahil box white 60% keyboard for less than 50

I have tried 2 set of kailh tactile switches and they were far better than the cherry brown I tried.  I have also one outemu linear kit and it's really really good.  I would not be afraid to get some Chinese switches as for the most part they are now equivalent or better than the original cherry.  I would try those kailh box white but I really don't like clicky switches much.  You can easily find reviews tho so you should just check for those.

Ahhh. That's why you don't use a different countries currency when asking for something at a certain price ;)

What? You are being sarcastic? Cherry is not the golden standard anymore. There are plenty of better and cheaper switches.

You are some kind of Cherry MX hater of some sort, I said they are standard, good enough quality, longevity,etc..I'm not saying that Cherry MX are the best or something like that

There are better switches in all those aspects you mentioned while being cheaper, so not really the standard. My first mech had cherry switches because I had a mindset similar to yours, now I know better.

Gateron switches ... I don't know how are those brown but I have the yellow and they are quite good to type on.  Smoothness is probably what describe them best ... and mine are not event lubed yet.

I've bought a anne pro 2 just to try the 60% layout ... my sister pick it up and I'm waiting for her to bring it to me (probably in september).  The seller told me that it had red switches but from the sound of them in the video my sister did they sound more like blue to me.  Well I will find out when I get it.
