what capacity?

games should be fine even on SATA SSDs

Load times are a second longer at most on SATA drives compared to NVMe; there are plenty of video comparisons you can check to confirm.

Theoretically, any SSD from a reputable company will do just fine, especially as a secondary drive. Personally, I use a 500GB WD Blue 2.5" SSD, for the games that need it most, and it's been great.

Haha, you don't need a Pro drive, and even a Samsung is a bit much.

I'd look at something like BX100 or WD Blue.

I'm betting that was more an issue with the SSD itself than the fact it's DRAMless. Mine doesn't have a DRAM cache, never had an issue.

issue only occur when my RAM is full and start to pagefile

think the SSD is using my system ram as a cache

it's normal when my RAM isnt full

edit: feels like we've had this convo before...

Hello, I wanted to get a second 2.5 SSD drive just to put games on it. Any suggestions? one that I can get at a reasonable price. I was looking at the SAMSUNG 860 PRO MZ-76P1T0BW, wanted something with speed but not with a $300 dollar tag.

Knucklehead me forgot to mention it’s for a laptop.

so m.2? does your laptop take m.2 SATA or NVME?

or you're looking for regular 2.5-inch (judging by the sample u gave)

just clarifying, but
