Floatplane suggestion

I was watching the WAN show and when the discussion of the iOS floatplane app came up, I was wondering, why not make a Progressive web app version for the platform? Is not a full app, so it can get around the restrictions, but still feels native to the user. Source: am a PWA dev :)
