well usually lower end stuff from both companies  take a while to be released. 

if you can wait, and maybe save up more and get a mid tier product, then that wouldn't be a bad idea, if you can't, a 1650 super/1660/580/5500xt are decent.

I know they probably arent going to relase a 3050 or something like that but i was wondering if the 1650 super prcies would be affected by the laucnha dn when do you think that the launchis happening

There was a 7 month gap in release date between 20XX and 16XX cards. I expect the same this generation. Prices for a 1650 are unlikely to go down with the release of 30XX. I would, however, suggest looking at used 2060 prices once the 3060 is released.

They're currently selling for around $300, I can see them going down to $250-275 a few months after 30XX.

If you wait for the new gpu generation to come out used prices on cards like the gtx 1660 or even gtx 1070 are going to drop a fair bit. A nice 1650 super goes for around $170 and even right now a 1070 goes for around $200 on ebay. I would wait maybe a few months to see if those prices go down. If not and you cant spend the extra $40 the 1650 super isnt bad at all
