Laptop screen chip repair

I have a chip on my laptop screen I have no idea how it happened but I need ideas or suggestions to repair it. Something that fills the gaps.

A new screen assembly for an actual repair.

The easiest temp solution would be a piece of strong tape over it and call it a day. Maybe fill the hole with some knead-able eraser. Basically I fixed a broken screen assembly with some yellow electrical tape I had around and it's been going for 5 or so years.

- resist urge to say ramen noodles-

Take the chipped piece out and use super glue maybe?

Is it aesthetics or durability you're worried about

Edit: u can also buy the plastic frame and fix it urself if you're comfortable with doing that

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

is it glass or a plastic frame? cant quite tell from the pic

but i feel like the crack would propagate through it anyways

would be best if you could send it in for repair if you're uncomfortable doing it yourself

no amount of fill will bring the rigidity back
