My cpu temp keeps jumping around 44-58 degree Celsius even when I'm NOT doing ANYTHING(open tabs etc). It keeps jumping between 44-58. The temp is extracted from Rivatuner and MSI Aftertuner and they're the same. However, my ICUE shows a static 37.5 degree Celsius. Obviously I know there are multiple temp node thus the difference, but should I be worried about the temp jumping?

By the look of those spikes I'm assuming you're on Ryzen, so check temperatures using Ryzen Master or HWiNFO64.

Regardless though, variation in temperature even at idle is normal. Even if it's not you opening a new tab in Chrome or whatever, there are always processes open and working in the background. So basically, you've nothing to worry about.

im going to assume it's ryzen, if so, only use hwinfo64 or reyzen master for temp monitoring for ryzen chips as they are the only one that can monitor  it correctly.

but either way these spikes are normal for the most part.

Those spikes are pretty much standard on ryzen chips, and idk what's causing them

As for if you should use MSI afterburner for monitoring the CPU temps, I find it accurate enough, when there's spikes, ryzen master temp also has spikes so it's pretty reflective imo

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
