For a more serious note.

I play whatever seems to fit what I want to do. If I play a RPG, I look at what I want to be for the game I am about to start, might be a Male half-orc Lawful good Paladin, might be a Female Elf mage/thief multi class that is neutral evil... For MP games I play whatever I think is fun.. in mmo´s I usually had 2-3 characters, so I could switch to play something else when I wanted another type of exprience.

 

In other words, I do whatever seems "right" at the moment or whatever suits the story "role" I want to play

I largely play support/medic roles as I'm not really good as shooters and the ones I play don't make finding enemies easy.

I usually play a support role. Even if I play a damage-type role, I always try to support my teammates. It varies from game to game, but that's how it usually is.

In the city-building game Frostpunk, I prefer to go down the order path and the engineer path in the TLA scenario.

The game gave you the choice between order or faith. So you can either run your city as a fascist or as a theocrat. The former is surprisingly more fun and more satisfying. The order path also has smaller and easier-to-place buildings, such as guard station and prison, compared to the faith path, which has huge temple and churches.

 

The Last Autumn scenario, where you build a generator for future cities used in the other scenarios, gave the option to side with engineers or workers when safety concerns were raised and workers wanted to unionize. I wanted to finish the generator and that's not going to happen if I bend the knee to worker's union. So I sided with the engineers, who are competent and has more merit. I then won't have to spend too much resources on safety standards or cut work hours, if the workers protest, I could bust the union. Very fun.
