£2000 pc

Go to solution Solved by spartaman64,

i would get an aftermarket 2080 super like the gigabyte windforce since it should be cooler etc than the stock one. also if you are just playing games it probably wont make use of 12 cores so consider the 3800xt but the price isnt that different so maybe its worth for the 3900xt.

Budget (including currency): £2000-2500 must be over £2000

Country: uk

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: call of duty

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): got storage, every thing else needed new. no prifrals.

i want to play cod and and new triple A titles at 144hz 1440p. i know i could get a better system if i waited but i am not going to do that. the case i have on this list is fine but better alternatives are welcome. i also want it of amozon due to shiping

Please excuse my spelling

^ granted the Unify's kind of overkill for just a 10600K, even overclocked. You could swap it out for a Z490 Gaming Edge WIFI and that'd still work just fine.

If you're just gaming, with your budget you could just go with Intel. You don't need 12 cores for gaming.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

Fair enough. Rocket Lake's rumoured to enable PCIe 4.0 on Z490, and you'll most likely not notice any sort of difference in performance between 3.0 and 4.0, but for AMD here's what I'd recommend:

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

I would do something like this. Saves you some money if you want to look at getting a new Nvidia/AMD later on.

If you don't need wifi then the B550 Tomahawk is cheaper. You could also go with the B550 Mortar wifi if you do need it.
