Broken iPhone

I have had my iPhone SE since May 31st, and i dropped it in the toilet today. it was fine for awhile, but now the haptic motor is being wierd, and i need to use imense force to go to the home screen, and there is a huge blot of water under the screen. is this covered by warranty, or apple care+, also how much will it cost to replace? thanks

update: the home button no longer works, and i need to use siri commands for everything this is now urgent

no apple will not warrant a human error.

water damage is bad, you should turn it off immediately and wait for it to dry.

go to a technician to clean up the corrosion.

What you should've done is to turn it off and dry it out for at least 24h.

I ended up doing that like 4-5 hours after, is it gonna be ok? Can rice even fix the home button?

It’s probably done. Apple won’t cover water damage at all.. they will politely give you back your phone. I could be wrong. A co worker dropped his xr off the dock by accident. The water was too cold, so it sat 14 feet under water for 45 days. He got it back 2 weeks ago and the phone worked. But it needed 300 bucks worth of parts from a 3rd party repair shop to bring it back to new condition.

thanks guys, 4 hours in rice, and it's completely functional. also @freeagent i have apple care+, so after looking deeper, it would have been covered

Apple care covers accidental damage. Up to two claims. So yeah it would be covered. Granted there will probably be some kind of deductible.

yeah apple care + it's like insurance.

not the regular one.
