Monitor made loud snapping sound while unboxing it

I know it sounds a bit stupid but I just got a new 27GL850 and while removing the soft bag around it, the monitor made a pretty loud cracking/snapping sound. Everything seems to be fine, can’t find any visible cracks. So I’m curious and worried what that could have been and if anyone experienced something similar.

Could’ve just been a plastic clip settling. If there aren’t any visible cracks and the display doesn’t look like there’s tons of pressure on the panel, you’re fine.

Does the monitor work? It might have just been styrofoam or something.

It might be the protective plastic screen film around it, that's used to protect the screen and the body.

I also lack post processing when I post so please refresh before replying as I probably edited my response!

Yes it works fine, I think. I already had it out of the packaging, there was a soft thin bag around it and while removing that it made the sound, sorry for the lack of better words.

Try to shake it a bit or turn upside down to test if something came loose inside. Otherwise I wouldn't be too concerned about it if it works fine.

That’s  probably most likely what happened, it sounded like two things snapping together.

I’ll try that, thanks.
