Any good spanish media (movies/TV)?

Any good spanish media to watch to keep my language skills over time?

It can be anything, movies, tv, songs.

Speaking of movies, Rec 1 and Rec 2 were decent spansish b-list horror movies, not scary but pretty novel and worth watching. Language was easy to understand.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

If you like The Simpsons, the Spanish dub of it is supposed to be really good.

Not really lol.

But jimmy neutron in german was really decent. Shame there isn't also a spanish dub.

Language

OK. That means there's a very wide spectrum to choose from :)

It all depends on what you like to watch, and which accents/slang are easier for you to understand. I'll fire a few from teh top of my head:

Movies:

- El secreto de sus ojos (Argentina). Good thriller, won Oscar to best movie in foreign language.

9 Reinas (Argentina). Good ol' scammers movie.

Y tu mamá también (México). Sort of coming-of-age, road-trip drama, on the weird-and-savage end.

La Comunidad (Spain). Brilliant comedy.

Acción mutante and  El día de la bestia (Spain). Also comedies, from the same director as the previous one, but in a younger, more absurd/gory style.

- Los lunes al sol - A great picture of the crumbles left behind by "industrial transformation"  in the late '90s.

- Celda 211 (Spain). A prison action movie. Simple yet entertaining.

Shows:

- La casa de papel (Spain). I haven't watched this, but thought I'd mention it as it got very popular in other countries too (Neflix has it in English as "Money Heist").

Vientos de agua (Spain-Argentina). A mini-series following an immigrant family, intertwining the stories of the immigrant wave from Spain to Latin America at the beginning of the XXth century, and the reverse wave taking place at the century's end.

That brought to mind another one:

Abre los ojos (Spain). Hollywood later made its own version under the title "Vanilla Sky".
