Psu dosen't work for GPU?

I want to buy a new gpu but the gpu comes with this hole.

But my power supply dosen't have that cable, so if i buy this video card i'm gonna have to buy a new power supply also?

What PSU do you have that doesn’t have PCIe connectors? TBH I’m surpirsed it didn’t blow up already.

this is my psu, i have a ATI Radeon HD 4650, and it dosen't require a PCIe connector, and my psu dosen't even have one. So if i want to upgrade my card to something like rx 570 4gb with the PCIe hole, i also have to get a new psu which has a PCIe connector, right?

You can't replace that PSU for a standard ATX PSU. It only has 12V outputs, even for the standby rail. There might be other PSUs that work with that PC that have a PCIe connector

Reading the specs. Atleast a 450w psu is recommended. I would get something like the corsair RM650X or something similar.

Assuming it's an ATX unit, get a Be Quiet Pure Power Gold 500W

it's not a atx motherboard, it dosen't have 20 or 24 pin connector

As @seon123 pointed out that PSU is 12V output only, including 12vsb (standby) rail. Normal ATX Power supplies also have 5v and 3.3v rails and a 5vsb rail. You won't be able to use a normal power supply with that motherboard.

 

You have 4 options

1. Buy a graphics card that doesn't require additional power from PCIe connectors
2. Buy/build a new computer
3. Use dual molex to PCIe adapter and hope it doesn't melt (not recommended!)
4.  Do nothing. Put up with the system as it is with the hd4650 until it dies and then replace the whole PC.

What system is that? Specs? Looks like a 10 year old HP... Might be time to replace it.
