Another tech YT-er visited Supermicro recently, and got to show off a 1U server with up to a half T PB of SSD storage.

(yeah, I know it's not the 'full' PB mentioned in the title, but given the rapid advance SSD storage tech is making these days, it won't be not overly long before it's actually happening)

 

Mind, you need deep pockets to buy one. I expect LMG to have several before XMas this year

Do you mean 500TB of storage; as in 0.5PB...?

I mean there is already a 100 TB SSD, if you put it ina  20 slot server its easy 2 PB  Only costs 800k

He actually admitted in the videos that in fact, initial deployment went wrong and the team had to spend considerable time fixing it. So yeah, in a way he did it wrong

Didn't he make a follow-up to show how it was going to be corrected?
