MSI dragon center missing options

Panc

So I got a new AIO and I went into MSI dragon center to configure the fan speed. The 'User scenario' option is no longer there. I have tried reinstalling the software to no avail.

Mind telling which mobo and AIO? And if AIO is not MSI, I assume fans and pump are connected to mobo?

The AIO is a fractal design celsius+ s36. The mobo is a meg x570 ace.

The fans on the RAD are connected to a pwm hub mounted on the radiator which is then plugged into the cpu fan header.

There's your issue. Are you using auto or PWM mode on the pump?

PWM. Its not the specific fan i can control. I'm unable to access the menu at all.image.thumb.png.b150a26299bca1e74ca0b06c887afa1a.png to get into the menu to control them at all. The option is missing.

There should be a button saying user scenario but there isn't

I am having this exact same issue right now, based on everything ive done in the last 3 days, it is DEFINITELY an MSI software problem.

I open the msi dragon center 2 software (the latest possible one out there)

and the User Scenario and fan tuning stuff is just not there

i tried all this:

check all device drivers

reinstall GPU drivers

flash latest BIOS (which i already had)

check CPU support

checked all peripheral and corsair cooler/iCue settings and drivers

checked for updates with Intel turbo tuning and monitor software.

checked msi website to no avail, no help

checked cooler and fan wiring

tried reboot and re-flash of everything

I am currently running:

Z390-A Pro (most recent 1.0A BIOS)

i7 9700KF

Corsair H115i Platinum AIO

5700XT at 1750Mhz

5 fans hooked up properly

600W PSU

my 5700XT runs faster than a 2070S

The software has been updated week ago. Do you remember if this issue started only after updating? I can't find release notes online, but that could explain this. Apparently not the first time MSI has messed up the update (reading discussion from Reddit about 2.0.28 version).

I would normally recommend trying one version backwards, but MSI doesn't have option for that.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have the same issue as well.spacer.png

Currently using Dragon Center 2.0.57spacer.pngspacer.png.0

I built my own PC

I am using Windows 10 pro 64 bit

ASUS ROG Z490 G GAMING WIFI

MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming x Trio

32 GB RAM

CPU Intel i7 10700

I did everything and even directly engage with MSI support.

Different kind of re-installing and with MSI SDK re-installed

Reformat my Windows 10 PC

Tried Bios update and reverted back and update again

Remove all the software and other possibly conflict with gaming booster

It didn't work :(

Gaming Mode, User Scenario, Fan Control were missing.

Pretty sure y'all could download this app somewhere, CNET or whatever?

MSI software is great, until it isn't, hence I have a backup for most... maybe even dragon center but then it's probably over a year old version (that's one of those apps that never really worked for me)

I only use MSI command center to control the lonely fan that the MSI motherboard refuses to control... thanks MSI...

It's been over a week now, this is MSI side. It happened after the last Dragon Center update.

Is there any Application we can substitute for MSI? First time of use 2 months ago I knew Asus is better and I'm selling this Mobo!

I'm guessing MSI is hiding something with their Mobo that's why they sabotage their App.
