Low-end streaming with 2 PCs: i5-3470 and A8-7600

Hey guys! So I was wondering if I could stream games such as Dota 2, CS:GO, and maybe even Apex Legends on at least 720p 60fps with 2 PCs:

The main gaming PC which has:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3470

RAM: 12GB DDR3 at 1333mhz (1X8GB & 1x4GB)

GPU: Zotac GTX 1050 2GB (Non-OC'd)

For streaming PC:

CPU: AMD A8-7600

RAM: 8GB DDR3 at 1866mhz (2x4GB kit)

GPU: Gigabyte GT 1030 2GB OC Edition

I know these are some pretty low-end PCs, so I'm asking if I can try streaming on Facebook or even Twitch at 720p 60fps because I can play games like Dota 2 and CS:GO just fine over 60fps and Apex Legends is somewhat playable on low settings with occasional dips to 40-50fps. That, and the idea of the lower end PC doing its job of capturing the gameplay and streaming it and doing nothing else.

Also, how much internet upload speed should I have? We have upload speeds up to 20mbps, but I don't wanna use all of that because it might slow down my family members' activities- or is that even a concern or not because maybe this won't work at all.

Edit: I will be playing games at 1080p and quality depends on the game (Dota 2 can be played on High just fine, CS:GO and Apex are played on lowest to ensure maximum fps) but want to stream at 720p 60fps for a smoother experience.

You can use the hardware encoder on the 1030. Both cpus won't be able to do x264 smoothly so your best bet it the hardware encoder.

That is most likely a limitation.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Thank you for your reply! Can you enlighten me on the 1030's encoder? I am not familiar with it, sorry. As for the internet speed, I'll see what I can do.

grab Twitch Bandwidth Test Tool: https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest

slap in your twitch key

tcp select OBS recommended

select region

time can be short

run it a couple times

watch for the one that performs the best over the couple runs

most important first is

quality

ping

bandwidth

This will tell you what what server you should use and what bit rate you should use.

Set the server in OBS under stream settings

under video

1920x1080

1440x810

Lanczos

59.94 fps

under out put

disable- enforce streaming service encoder service

optional( i would enable)-look ahead

disable- psycho  visual tuning

your bit rate should be set to 50-60% of your bandwidth

are here are the setting for you to go with

Chose the following bitrates for 60FPS live streams at 810p (1440x810)

12000+kbps = 6000 (NVENC)

10000kbps = 5000 (NVENC)

8000kbps = 4000 (x264)

7000kbps = 3500 (x264)

6000kbps = 3000 (x264)

5000kbps = 2500 (x264)

The best NVENC settings:

Rate Control: CBR

Bitrate: 6000 (non-partners) / 8000 (partners)

Preset: High Quality

Profile: High Use

Two-Pass Encoding: Yes (look ahead)

The best x264 settings:

Rate Control: CBR

Bitrate:6000 (non-partners) / 8000 (partners)

CPU Preset: super faster

Well it has a hardware encoder. It basically will stream with little to no performance hit because it's a hardware encoder. Meaning it's separate unit from the GPU that is dedicated to encoding.

That's a lot of info! I'll get back to you once I'm done with this!

I just did some test streams and found out that the GT 1030 actually had worse performance than just using the Gaming PC's GTX 1050. I did some research and found out that the GT 1030 is the only without without an NVENC chip (bummer). Should I just try to offload the encoding to the A8-7600 instead?

You can at least try. CPU encoding usually gives best quality anyways

What settings would you recommend to me for 720p60?
