I know that this is very dependent on peoples opinions, however, i'm looking for your opinion. I currently own a VEGA 56. It performs just fine (I play at 2560x1080 and vr on HMD odyssey +) But i don't "like" it. Its hard to explain but it just kinda feels janky, even if the numbers are totally ok. More to the point though, I feel like it's high time for a better, more efficient silicon in my PC. I don't rely have a budget, I have the luxury of buying a 2080ti if I wanted, But I DON'T want to do that. Even if it's the best today it, #1, doesn't represent good value, and #2, I have no need for such power. I also don't want to wait for the 3000 series GPU Mainly because there are some gr8 game bundles on the 2000 series gpu's right now, that i would like to take advantage of. I have my eyes on a 2060 super however.

Anyway, what are your thoughts?

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

The 2060 super is yes. An upgrade but I would not upgrade to that.

Don't consider the 2080ti, it's bad value and if you have the money for it.  get a 2080s.

There could he great bundles with ampere.

Wait for ampere, the 56 is fine for now I would say.

at least 2080 or nothing. V56's equivalent in performance is the 2060 which means 2060S will barely pull ahead enough to even beat the V56. 2070 and 2070S arent big jumps either

its 50w more than a 2070 while costing 100$ less it’s a question of do you want to pay $100 now, or pay maybe a couple bucks more a month depending on how much power costs.

Never said they arent plug and play, but AMD GPUs gain a lot more through user tweaks than Nvidia GPUs that imo, makes their lower prices an even bigger advantage.

This is likely very true, however given NVIDIA's track record, the price to performance is probably not going to go up with it. I'll just be paying more.

Not true, especially if you actually look at their track record.

They raised the price last gen because iirc the die size increased substantially. Thus, increasing their costs. Since this gen is a die shrink, pricing will likely be the same.

Though, they're likely to add more cards higher up in the stack, like the rumored 3090.

after the 3000 series launch the 2000 series will drop in price. look for a 2060 super when it happens if you really want to.

the new upcoming 3000 series will be way better in performance and will give you a better value for your money

and im sure that they will have a lot of bundles for the new cards once they are available.

please dont

its not worth the money for a 30$ game... and im not so sure if there are still bundles after a year...

EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER SC on newegg is going for 400USD includes Deliver Us The Moon, and should also be eligible for the Death Stranding bundle going on now.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.
