Wait for ampere and big Navi and zen 3. For now I would say a 1060 is good enough.

Also your kind of limited by your cpu and a dead platform. With the best cpu bring a 4c/8t and your current one being 4c/4t. Over all just wait for next gen stuff ( Q3/Q4 of this year supposedly) and possibly upgrade the platform as well.

16GB of RAM would be a good move, too...

Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

Wait till new gpus are available in a couple of months then upgrade to whatever replaces the 2060 or 1660 (or is equal on amd side).

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

... even if it means that the 1660/2060 get cheaper.  :)
