Looks good, but 1TB SSD is overkill for a $1500 rig and I personally fucking despise Seagate (consumer) drives and think they are trash and that you should get a WD blue or black instead.

depending on your use, if just gaming, and maybe streaming, a 3700x should be more than enough. 16gb of ram should be enough for now as well.

He might've meant 2x8GB sticks. Not sure though, and I'm glad you pointed it out, I would've missed it.

OP, get 2x8GB sticks, not 1x16GB. 2x16GB is fine if you need the RAM, but likely not worth it.

i was going to get 2X16GB of RAM but i think that i will opt for only 1 and instead use the money on the 9 3900x processor in place of the 7 3700x. thank your for your help.

Just save some money, you don't need Ryzen 9, 32GB of RAM, or 1TB SSD. Ryzen 7, 16GB of RAM, and a 128-512GB SSD will suffice.

1 stick of ram basically slows ur cpu down by 40%, 2x8 is better than 1x16, unless ur motherboard only has 2 dimm slots. Switch out ur hdd for a sdd even if u have to play slightly more imho. i'd do 512gb main drive and a 2tb ssd instead of that hdd

You're trying to play games and do middle school/high school work right? It makes no sense to waste your budget on an overkill cpu instead of putting the money towards GPU performance.

You could build something like this that will likely outperform your 3900x system. Also keep in mind that you'll likely have to pay tax. So a $1500 post tax budget is reeally closer to a $1400 budget.

thank you for the feedback. my plan was to install all of my games on the ssd and use the hdd for anything else on the computer. my aplogies of i dont understand what you are saying but i think you are saing that instead of having a 2tb hdd and a 1tb ssd i switch it and have a 1tb hdd and a 2tbsd instead.

I think it's better to have a 512 ssd and a1 or 2tb ssd instead of a hdd, unless all you use that hdd for is storage, but i guess it's not a huge deal. that build listed by @Sorenson above is the way to go for a similar budget.
