That's why I uncheck those on PCPartPicker because it's a lie! :P You still have to spend the full amount in the first place, why not show what those costs are.

I'm planning a massive overhaul on my current machine and I already have a case [cooler master elite 430], a hard drive [toshiba 1 terabyte] and an optical drive. With those costs cut out, what motherboard, processor, video card, power supply, and RAM can i get all for about 300 dollars I'd prefer an intel processor over AMD because Intel doesn't have cooling demands that are as high. Because the costs of the case, hard drive and optical drive are cut out, what all could i get that would be decent for most games? I have a 300-350 dollar budget to work with. i mainly go for pc games when they are games that are exclusive to pc with no console versions. I also want to be able to upgrade as i go along.

do you already have a psu?

"stock from 2007" doesn't tell us anything. Stock for what computer?

I decided on a Asus F2A55-M/CSM micro ATX Motherboard and AMD Quad-Core A8-5600K 3.6GHz Radeon HD 7560D APU Bundle. I just need 4 gigs of DDR3 and a power supply and i'll have an upgraded machine. What power supply would be best because i plan on getting a graphics card later down the road.
