How to fix Download / Document location folders?

sdw123

Hi, I've set my Download and Document folder locations to a different drive. But my HDD suddenly damaged. Can someone tell me how to change the locations to a different path now? These folders aren't shown in User/ directory and I can't right click their icons in the explorer. (this is a known bug from the day I installed Win 10. Nothing to do with the HDD failure)

I started doing this back in WinXP & I believe you have to have access to the actual Folder to make any changes... since then I've not 'lost' the drive it's on, so I dunno if Win7/10 changed how it works.

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

EDIT:

Downloads "should be able to be edited" through your Browser.

I think you can just right click on the downloads library icon, select properties, and change location.

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

Don't forget to tag or quote in your reply if you want me to know you've answered or have another question.

If they're on the drive that OP can't see, they can't.

But they show up in quick access pane on left of Window don't they?

You can click on File Explorer Options and there is also a show libraries option there.

You can simply type Libraries into the address bar.

Etc...

although I did skim over the bit about not being able to right click.
