Cant judge the first one because no reviews

Cant judge second for these two exactly, if you look at past records then as long as they arent developed by Sony or Microsoft, they will have the same selection of games. In other words, do you prefer Sony or MS games more.

I’m going to say PONG! beats them both because even though it sucks it actually exists.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Neither are out, so we’ll see how the generation pans out once it actually starts.

That being said, I’m a little more optimistic for Microsoft and the two Xbox consoles they’re planning on dropping, so long as they play their cards right.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

We know the spec so we do know which will perform better. The Xbox outstrips the PS5 by a lot. Like we’re talking a GPU tier up

That doesn't mean anything. The SDK and how developers utilize it contributes more than specs. Same reason you have 2013 current gen console hardware still running things that modern PCs have to work for. From what I've heard from developer leaks online, the PS5 actually beats the Series X performance, despite lesser specs. However, obviously no one can say for sure until their in our hot little hands, but I wouldn't count the PS5 out so cavalierly.

I think both will perform about the same. It depends more on how devs optimize their games for each. Sony has better exclusives than Microsoft, and that doesn't look to change this generation either, but I think Microsoft has the better value proposition overall. Looks are entirely personal. Some really like the PS5 look, but I hate it. I want to play games; I don't need a spaceship.

Personally, I'm going to wait on both, likely until they get an inevitable price drop. I'm good for the most part with the current gen (PS4 Pro and Xbox One X), and I just built a shiny new PC to tide me over for a while. Out of the two, though, I think the PS5 will be my first purchase, because of Spider-Man and HZD: Forbidden West.

They're running the same CPU and GPU arch. It is literally like comparing a 2060 and 2070. The XSX has around 30% more CU's but is running a slightly lower clock, though the PS5 boosts higher we don't know the base frequency. CPU is near enough identical.

Leaks have also said the devs hate the PS5 as it's unpredictable with it's boosting.

The PS5 is bigger in two of three dimensions than the Series X.

It also has very small intake vents and a completely closed odd front.

I remember the edges of the front on the pa5 looking open.  It’s hard to say though

Small vents down the sides of the front, main portion of the front is closed off. As with PC case design vents going down the sides of a flat piece of material means the air has to do a sharp turn to get in lowering the volume of air that goes into the chassis.

I mean the edges.  The sides don’t meet the front. There’s a space around the edges it looked like.  We may be talking about the same thing.  I was thinking the schwwopiness of the sides might not be just decorative and might have something to do with laminar airflow for those edges.  No way to know of course.

Oh yeah, I suspect it is going to be PS4 Pro levels of noise when it ramps up under load. I think the fact they haven’t talked about the internal design at all is a bad sign. Versus Microsoft, who had a video in March that showed the Series X torn down and then assembled.

It doesnt alwasy matter about specs, it depends on how they use them as well, i could have a rtx2080ti and have it so it can only run at max 144p but u could have a gtx 720 and have it run at 1080p

That is true, but i think they may have this time made it so its a bit quieter, I hope they make it cooler and quieter but never know,

That is a good point, but i recon they have thought of a way around it.

That does seem logical but i think that it may be also to allow some more space for specs inside, or just design, can find out when we can get our hands on it

Al right here we go again. They playstation and xbox debate again.

I think the playstation 5 looks a lot better than the xbox series x, the xbox is huge and looks like a pc, but the playstation actually has a good look

They are both fairly on similar terms for game availability, so that should be such an issue but the playstation probably gets games before the xbox does.

In controllers, the playstation controller has drastically improved with ps5, but I like the xbox controllers better. more comfortable.

In performance, very very similar, but the xbox just has better specs slightly. only 0.3 ghz better, but both perform very good.

The main point for playstation is the looks, and the xbox is the controller, but other than that, they are fairly the same. I voted xbox

I am not a fan of the xbox controller, i have smaller hands and i dont like the layout of the xbox controller, i understand it has some benefits but for me i have a ps4 as it is cheaper for me, and i can play with a lot of my friends, my one wish is for them to allow cross play on all games so i can play with my friends on all platforms.

Can't break physics, the XSX is essentially open on 2 sides with a giant fan, what fans is the PS5 using? It's too thin to get anything decent in there.

Both look absolutely horrible.  As for how they perform I will wait for reviews but at the beginning of a life cycle of a content usually other than one game not much takes advantage of the hardware.  I am more interested to see how the last games for the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro look like and perform.

I've been in love with playstation since i picked up a dualshock 3 for the first time back when i was three years old. However, due to their recent anti-consumer practices, extreme pushing of third party feminism, and censorship of games (especially ones made by japanese developers) i have to side with xbox, but that is t the only reason, the fact that i can go out to gamestop, or look on ebay, and buy a 360, xbox 1, or even original xbox game that i never played before, and be able to put it into my series x, and play it is one of the biggest reasons, and then smart delivery, i'm sorry sony, i wanted to see you succeed, but i think that they've objectively been beat by xbox.

That is a good point, I wasnt aware of the censorship. and the anti consumer practices, thats a real shame tbh.

Merely stating something exists and showing it does are different things.  They well might.  I don’t know.  It seems unlikely that PlayStation is Vastly more mysogynist than Xbox. Sort of a pot kettle thing.  Might be true.
