The 3900x and the 2080 super together use up about 350w. I cant imagine the rest taking much more than another 100w or so, therefore I'd imagine your psu would be good enough to support all of that. Additonally, I've never had issues with any corsair PSU I've had even when I got pretty close to its rated power draw.

Yes 650W is more than enough.

I am running an OC’ed 8700K, 2080 Ti, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and my 650W PSU was able to handle it just fine.

While wattage is enough, I would strongly suggest not pairing a 500$ CPU and 700$ GPU with a 60$ power supply...

It’s okay as long as it’s a quality PSU from a reputable company long known for making quality components. Especially since Corsair has long warranties on their PSUs which shows how much faith they have in their products being high quality.

Brand and warranty are utterly irrelevant. Diablotek units come with two or three year warranties, they still catch fire.

The Vengeance silver is a mid range model designed with entry level gaming systems in mind, not 2000$ ultra high end stuff

I’ve never ever heard of any Corsair PSU of any kind explode or catch fire.

The PSU is subpart at best

Replacing it the second you can is advised

No I’m just speaking of my own experience. Yes it’s true brand has nothing to do with quality but you’re a lot safer buying lower end PSUS from a brand like Corsair, EVGA, etc., than you are from random unknown companies most people have never heard of.

Get an orange label VS from Corsair or an N1 from EVGA

It's one of their cheapest PSUs

They should be fine right ?

Yes it’s just one person’s experience and that’s why I’m posting it on my own account. Other people (like yourself)  are free to chime in with any different experiences they’d like to share and the OP can come to a conclusion on what he wants to do.

EVGA? Whose low end W and N models frequently destroy hardware due to failures and we get posts about them every week? Laughably bad example. Same with Corsair who recently recalled an entire lineup of high end power supplies due to a design flaws that caused premature failure. Again, do not blindly buy by brand.

No it is not, power supply quality is objective fact, not opinion. You can't say the sun is green and defend it as being an "opinion" - this is a factually wrong statement

You’re missing the concept of what I’m saying. I did NOT say all power supplies from these companies are high quality. I said I’ve never had problems with PSUs from these companies.

So it would be more like one person saying “The Sun in the Summer makes the weather too hot.” & me saying “It’s not too hot to me.”

Both are true. To some people 90 degrees in the Summer might be too hot for them. Others might think 90 degrees is a nice warm day.

Hello,

For a 3900x + 2080S I would suggest Tier B+ minimum from this list

@TofuHaroto recommendations are good but it also depends of your market. I'd add the Seasonic GC, GX and GM, Phanteks AMP, EVGA G2, Coolermaster MWE Gold that are usually available and on the same price range.

Well it depends, in °C you die, in K you die, in °F you survive, in angle it doesn't make sense.

if the psu is cheap and not build well then please DONT

Do you really want to test the quality of your psu with a 500$ cpu, probably an expensive motherboard and a 700$ gpu? NOT WORTH IT

i was in the same situation as you, in my case the wattage was kinda enough but i had an old, cheap 80+ bronze 550w psu that was already 6 or 7 years old

not a change ill risk my new 900$ gpu so i just bought a new 80+ gold psu so even if ill want to upgrade gpu or cpu in the future, psu will still be relevant and good.

Try to sell your current psu and buy at least a 750w 80+ GOLD since youre already upgrading so might as well get some extra headroom for future upgrades cause gpu is the most common thing that everyone upgrades in thier pc and the most easy and as gpu technology progresses they are starting to get more and more power hungry.
