Best app that "gives" phone number?

Hello all, I'm on iOS and I'm looking for recommendations for an app that "gives" me a second phone number.  I ideally want the safest/most secure/private. The only thing it is going to be used for is I'm putting the number I get on my banking profile, so when I'm across the pond and don't have my regular number, I'll have a number that my bank can SMS a code to, to verify my identity when I try to log in. Thanks!

Google voice should do what you need. You can message and call from it.

Google Voice doesn't appear to work. I need to link it to my real phone number, and Google Voice apparently isn't available in Canada. I thought I got around it by throwing my VPN to a US location, but it still won't accept my CAD phone number.

Maybe textnow would work for you then

I use textnow but numbers on textnow won't work with a lot of social media sites like twitter.

Thanks! It appears it doesn't work on amazon either, but I have FreeOTP for that anyways. I just needed it for my Google/Banking. Thanks though!
