VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST detroit become human

just got this error today while playing detroit become human all of a sudden the game crashed both my monitors went black for a couple of seconds and then they worked but windows in the main monitor was not responsive it was like frozen.

My fps limit on this game is 90.

Specs:

GIGABYTE GAMING OC 8G RTX 2080 SUPER driver version 446.14

16gb ram ddr4 3000mhz

ryzen 5 3600 oc @4.2ghz (GIGABYTE ATC800 RGB COOLER)

MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX

CoolerMaster MB520 TG case with 3 front fans and 1 rear fan.

Corsair TX650M PSU 

Windows 10 V.1909 on Samsung 970 evo plus ssd

GPU temps 60-70

CPU temps 60-75 mostly mid 60's

ive been using this pc for 1 month and this is the only game i get issues in. guess am fine :)

Any fixes? I have a RX5700XT and can't get it to work. Every other game works fine tho.

such errors are usually game engine related, doesn't mean your gpu is faulty. 

HOWEVER, often over clocks, even so called factory over clocks can cause these issues, because the games aren't optimized properly. it's a weird phenomenon and rather rare but it happens. 

 

not sure if that's the case for this Detroit game though, I think it's just another bad port tbh.
