Itx / dtx motherboard question (price difference)

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

The Strix X570-I is Mini-ITX, while the Crosshair VIII Impact is Mini-DTX, so you might've mistaken it for that.

The X570-I will be enough for even a PBO 3950X, so just go for that, there's really no need to go for the Impact. I would not get the B550-I, considering it's only $30 cheaper than the X570-I, has worse power delivery and has abysmal rear IO.

Asus rog strix b550 itx $285.90

Asus rog strix x570 dtx $418.90

We were planning to go for the b550 but saw the x570 on the shelf in the shop, does anyone have any idea if my sis should go for the higher grade X series or will the b550 be enough?

She'll be running a r7 3800 and will the dtx fit in the nzxt 210i if with the dtx?

A b450 tomhawk max will be just fine

But if you need itx/dtx just go for the b550 board

It's not worth paying double
