Based on Clevo NH5x series. Would suggest something better if you don't have tight budget

Thanks for the replies guys.  Budget wise it was looking similar to some of the other laptops I was looking at.  I recently returned a refurbished HP where I had a issue with Linux wifi card compatibility (and other issues).  I was mostly thinking it would be nice not to have to individually spec out the components.  I did find this list which suggested the laptops were Linux compatible.

I have not tried it out, but have definitely heard a lot from one of my friends who happens to own it. He was predominantly using Linux for his work, so I suppose even you are going to be doing the same. From what I have heard, it is quite user-friendly and a perfect companion especially for official purposes. The ability to configure it for a wide range of specifications is one of its strong features.

 

I have heard that the build quality and touchpad performance are the only two weak links. I am pretty happy to share this information with you.
