Let me guess, you removed an HDD that you had installed in the system while you installed Windows?

No I took the ssd to my other pc to download windows to as it wouldn’t work on this pc. When it was downloaded on the other pc it was fine so I brought it over to this pc and it says this ... @Benji

I actually think that (as I know that from screenshots of another thread) Windows installed, like it stupidly does usually (even after all those years) its bootloader on another HDD that he, in the meantime, removed from his PC. That is typically the cause for that sort of issue.

Oh, now that I read your reply, it confirms that. Windows usually installs the bootloader to a separate drive, and now that you took the SSD out the bootloader is on the other drive and thus cannot be loaded. The easiest fix for that is re-installing Windows to the SSD, and prior to installing, disconnect every other drive in the computer.

It doesn’t let me install on this pc though .... it puts me to a yellow screen with striped white lines :( @Benji

I highly doubt that Windows installs fully within 7 minutes...  The installation process is complete when it shows the setup guide, not when the Windows interface with the moving bars from the USB stick is done. And that takes about 15 minutes if its fast.

I didn’t just do it but it’s been doing that all day when I’ve tried, it only lets me download 32 bit windows @Benji

If you are referring to the Media Creation Tool, it usually outputs this error when you are using a 32-bit OS. With a 32-bit OS you cannot create 64-bit images. Is your actual OS on the system in your signature a 32-bit OS or is it 64-bit? If it is the latter it shouldn't cause any issues creating 64-bit bootable media. And on the next install, which will be inevitable in that condition, really disconnect every other drive and let the setup process run through to the startup guide. Then turn it off and try again.

I have a 64x processor but it won’t let me install 64 bit on this pc. Please can you explain what you said in simpler terms as I have no clue what half of that meant hahah

If you have win 10 installed, and you put another ROM to install it there as well, windows Will MAYBE install it to the new disk as well, bit it won't be bootable disk.

Best way is to put the disk too a system that had no win 10 installed and do the installation from a USB

Find a way to create a bootable USB :) ask a friend or go to an internet station. It's an easy task and once you do it you will know an important problem solving technic.

Then just removed all disks, plug only the one that will have your win 10 and install it. After that put the other disks back. That's the way to avoid most of mistakes

What I would recommend is entirely disabling CSM in the BIOS if that is even a thing because that can also lead to some confusion. What is that computers hardware?

That really depends on the motherboard. In the boot options in the BIOS there is an option that allows you to enable and disable the CSM mode.

The option that was mentioned with the additional storage drivers. There is no need for it, if you've used them, which I doubt you did.

im gonna look for CSM, i think i meant i removed my other storage devices not drivers

You wouldn't keep getting the same answers over again if you kept your request to one thread. Literately everything people are suggesting here, was suggested the first and second time.

A) If Windows 32bit installed before, but 64-bit will not, this is because you missing a step somewhere and not installing the 64-bit version.

B) If the issue is that it's locking up the GPU immediately, you need to use a different video adapter, or boot to the safeboot mode and install the driver from there, however for whatever insane reason, nVidia, AMD and Intel make their installers not work in safe mode, thus making it increasingly difficult to fix.

If you are doing things correctly:

1) Make a 64-bit only install USB flash drive, copy the 64-bit AMD RAID Preinstall drivers to it from your motherboard manufacturer, or the 64bit Intel RST F6 drivers if you are using an Intel board.

2) Make sure the Bios has turned off onboard GPU features, turned on RAID, turned off AHCI, turned on UEFI boot, turned off CSM Legacy modules.

3) Make sure you are using the UEFI boot, which will have the name of the USB drive, not the Legacy boot which will be "USB Drive"

When you boot the Windows install, and it shows no drives to install to, hit F6 and point it at the F6/Preinstall drivers from step 1.

4) Let Windows install to completion, this takes typically TWO HOURS.

Why on earth would he enable RAID? Makes no sense whatsoever, considering the fact that the system apparently is being booted off a single SSD.

Because that is how you are supposed to install M2 drives, and if you blow this step, you get exactly what you see on the first page. If you have the bios in AHCI mode, then NVMe drives SSD runs at SATA III speeds, not PCIe speeds. So for a 4-lane NVMe drive that means you're giving up potentially 75% of the performance depending how good or bad the SATA emulation is.
